340 pets fixed this March A big Thank You to our staff, volunteers, donors, and all of our supporters. With your help SNAP was able to spay and neuter 340 dogs and cats this March! What else we've been up to Like every spring, SNAP's education efforts during the month of March focused on the plight of "Easter Bunnies" abandoned every year. Students all over the county learned that bunnies and Easter don't mix! Rabbits were brought into classrooms and after school programs in Chula Vista, Lemon Grove, Spring Valley, Lincoln Acres, and Escondido for lessons on the care of rabbits. Flyers were sent home to families explaining the importance of rabbit care.
Our annual Bunny Photos at the Encinitas YMCA was an egg-cellent time. Thanks to the City of Encinitas and our National Charity League Volunteers. SNAP also made an appearance at La Jolla Country Day's annual Community Day. We brought puppies and a big dog in for meeting, greeting, and educating about the importance of Spay/Neuter and Adoption in San Diego County. Thanks to the Dog Squad, Barbara Rosenbaum and Tony! SNAP participated in three separate young adults projects toward receiving their prestigious "Gold Awards" through the Girl Scouts of America. |
