Shelter Tours for Kids... In Honor of Be Kind to Animals Week
This summer SNAP offers three exciting animal shelter tours to kids of City Heights neighborhoods. You are invited to join
SNAP volunteers on a venture to see how a shelter is run, to meet the people involved (staff and volunteers) and to
visit the animals waiting for adoption. Kids of Teralta Park have seen the Neuter Scooter helping
animals get spayed or neutered for 3 years. Some kids even volunteer!
This is your chance to
see firsthand one of the many reasons it is important to spay and neuter our dogs, cats and rabbits.
Please join SNAP for Shelter Tours 2007!
Tour Dates:
Tour 1 Sunday, JUNE 10th - Friends of Cats
Tour 2 Saturday, JULY 14th - Chula Vista Animal Care Facility
Tour 3 Saturday, AUGUST 18th - El Cajon Animal Shelter
All students MUST have a permission slip (download and print) to go on
any of the Shelter Tours. Space is limited so please
call the Neuter Scooter (1-866-SPAY BUS) soon to hold your spot!
On the day of your tour, we'll meet at
Teralta Park (on the corner of 40th & Orange) by 10:30am. Please bring a
bag lunch. Drinks and transportation to the shelters will be provided by SNAP. For more information visit
call Dorell at SNAP: 760-815-0945.
