Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Veterinary Spay/Neuter Clinic Manager to oversee the daily operations of our Spay/Neuter facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the clinic runs smoothly, providing high-quality patient care, and managing staff effectively. This role requires strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of veterinary medical management practices.
Work Days/Hours: Full-time, Part-time • Pay: $22.00 – $28.00 per hour• Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week

Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee daily clinic operations, ensuring efficient workflow and high standards of pet and client care.
- Hire, train and supervise clinical staff, providing guidance and support to enhance team performance.
- Manage office administration tasks, including scheduling, patient records, and invoicing processes.
- Manage budgets, ensuring financial health of the clinic while optimizing resource allocation.
- Coordinate with director, scheduling team, volunteers, donors, partner organizations and all SNAP personnel
- Foster a positive work environment that encourages professional development and teamwork among staff.
- Address client concerns promptly and effectively to maintain high levels of satisfaction.
Experience
- Familiarity with medical management practices.
- Experience with budgeting and financial management.
- Experience in Google sheets and docs.
- Strong supervisory skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, volunteers, supporters, partners and staff alike.

Part-time Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) is needed for the Neuter Scooter’s surgical team: Join the team that is “fixing” pet overpopulation. Very rewarding and fast-paced. The Spay-Neuter Action Project is a non-profit organization that provides San Diego’s communities with a low-no cost spaying and neutering option for dogs and cats. Work Days/Hours: Currently SNAP is in need of an East County RVT available 1, 2, or 3 shifts per MONTH. This is the perfect opportunity for an individual to pick up some extra $ while working with a very good cause!
SNAP East clinics occur 3-4 days per week. Clinic schedules are planned out monthly, so your shift(s) are flexible. The RVTs’ arrival time is 6:30 am on weekdays. End of shift is dependent upon completion of clinic duties and departure of all animal patients. Ordinarily, clinics are finished no later than 2:30 pm on weekdays. (You miss the traffic!)
Qualifications & Requirements
• Registered Veterinary Technician License in good standing.
• Previous experience as an RVT with surgical experience a plus.
• Reliable transportation with travel to the El Cajon location.
• Able to lift 40 pounds, bending, and kneeling is required.
• Paid working interviews required before hire.

• Working RVT is clinic lead and responsible for monitoring and ensuring the safety of all clinic patients and staff at all times.
• Clinic set up prior to the public’s arrival.
• Drawing up all required medications for clinic patients.
• Assisting veterinarian with recheck appointments and controlling the surgical schedule.
• Assisting with lifting and transporting of animals to and from the surgical suite.
• Intubation, extubating, and monitoring of animals during anesthesia and in the recovery period.
• Clean up after surgery includes but is not limited to set up for next day or packing up clinic to move to new location.
• Educating owners and answering client questions if needed.

PART TIME Clinic Check-In & Scheduler (combined position for El Cajon and remote location)

Check-in Position Involves:
• Opening the clinic for medical staff on site
• Setting up the morning check in table (moving tables, chairs and totes from inside the mobile clinic to the check in area outside)
• Preparing paperwork for check in (printing out schedule, sizing if needed)
• Keeping the check in process flowing, checking client’s paperwork, accepting payments, making change, answering questions
• Preparing certificates, keeping records organized and filed
• Preparing instructional packets for clients pick up
• Helping medical team where needed (e-collars, towels, stocking)
• Working with mother nature (some mornings may be warm and some cold and wet!)

Scheduler Position Involves:
• Working remotely
• Scheduling clients for Neuter Scooter clinics
• Referring clients that do not qualify
• Answering voicemails and web applications
• Making confirmation/reminders calls
• Using Google Sheets and Ring Central.
