FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Escondido, CA – September 25, 2026
Spay-Neuter Action Project (SNAP) has been awarded $33,000 from the Escondido Community Foundation to subsidize an additional 30 very low-cost spay and neuter surgeries each month for nine months for Escondido pet owners.
Through this generous funding, SNAP will provide up to 270 additional spay and neuter surgeries to local pets whose families may otherwise struggle to afford the procedures. By making these essential services more accessible, the program will help prevent unwanted litters, reduce pet overpopulation, and contribute to healthier pets and families throughout the Escondido community.
“Every surgery represents another opportunity to prevent an unwanted litter and help a family keep their beloved pet healthy,” said Dorell Sackett, Director of SNAP. “We are incredibly grateful to the Escondido Community Foundation for investing in affordable veterinary care and helping us reach more Escondido pet owners.”
SNAP’s mission is saving lives by reducing pet overpopulation through affordable spay and neuter services and community education.
