FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
San Diego, CA – March 23, 2026

San Diego, CA — SNAP and Volunteers with Amplified Impact are proud to announce that SNAP’s Vision 2030 is well on its way with a new mobile unit almost here in San Diego.

SNAP’s Core Purpose (The MISSION)
The Spay-Neuter Action Project (SNAP) saves lives by reducing pet overpopulation. We do this by providing low- to no-cost spay and neuter services to underserved communities, ensuring that cost is never a barrier to responsible pet care. Our focus is on delivering safe, high-quality surgeries that prevent unwanted litters, reduce shelter overcrowding, and decrease euthanasia rates. In addition, we promote the overall health and well-being of companion animals through preventive care, education, and outreach, creating a more compassionate and sustainable future for pets and people alike.

SNAP’s Vision 2030
“In 2030, the Spay-Action Neuter Project will have accomplished and continue to reduce pet overpopulation through prevention. SNAP’s work in San Diego County will result in reducing the number of unwanted pets for shelters and rescue groups. SNAP will continue to help families ensure that their “fixed” pets have healthy homes though improved behavior, long-term health benefits and cost savings. SNAP will run 2 mobile operating rooms that will continue to provide low-no cost, spay/neuter procedures for pets in underserved communities. Combined with an owned brick and mortar recovery zone, the SNAP spay/neuter clinics and new instructional CE classes for upcoming veterinarians will successfully treat both owned and foster/ large and small dogs, cats and rabbits in an efficient manner.

In addition, the Spay- Neuter Action Project’s volunteer corps will have become leading voices in activism and legislation to prevent pet overpopulation. Successes include spaying and neutering mandates and breeding laws. Because of these well-known successes, the Spay and Neuter Action Project will have a thriving donor base, with consistent major donor funding. Our fundraising staff will continue to solidify the importance of our leadership and services for San Diego County. Subsequently, the Spay-Neuter Action Project’s strengths have inspired confidence with corporate partners, corporate donors and individual donors resulting in a strong endowment and a generous annual donor stream.”
