The Spay Neuter Action Project (SNAP) is pleased to announce the launch of its new Tier 2 pricing, designed to help mid-income pet owners access affordable spay and neuter services. While SNAP’s Tier 1 program continues to provide low-cost sterilization for low-income families, Tier 2 offers an equally comprehensive, low-cost option for those who don’t qualify for low-income assistance but struggle to afford the high cost of private veterinary care.

“We receive countless requests from responsible pet owners who want to spay or neuter their pets, but can’t afford the $600 to $1,200 price tag at private veterinary clinics,” says Dorell Sackett, Director of SNAP’s Neuter Scooter and Spay Center, “Our new Tier 2 pricing provides an affordable solution for these families, while ensuring that donor funds continue to be reserved exclusively for low-income surgeries.”

Tier 2 offers the same all-inclusive, high-quality care as Tier 1, featuring sterilization performed by highly skilled surgeons, registered veterinary technicians, and a specialized spay/neuter support team. The program is designed to help more families while covering the full cost of surgery for those who qualify under Tier 2.

What Sets SNAP Apart:
  • All-inclusive pricing: Both Tier 1 and Tier 2 pricing cover all aspects of the procedure, including anesthesia, surgery, pain medication and aftercare. E-collars, Nail trims, Vaccines and other assistance like flea control if fleas are present are included in the procedure.
  • Professional medical team: Unlike volunteer-based services, SNAP’s medical team is made up of paid professionals who are dedicated to providing top-notch care.
  • Support for everyone: Whether in Tier 1 or Tier 2, every pet and owner receives the same high standard of care, using the same medications, procedures, and attention to detail.

“By choosing Tier 2 pricing, pet owners are not only helping their own pets but also making it possible for us to reserve donor-restricted funds for low-income families. It’s a win-win for all involved,” adds Board Member, Nicole Donnelly.

SNAP, a non-profit organization, relies on the generous support of donors, grants, and foundations to cover the costs of medical supplies, allowing the affordable fees to cover the wages of its professional staff. With the introduction of Tier 2 pricing, SNAP continues its mission of making responsible pet ownership accessible to all, regardless of income.
